One of the last car brands to come on the North American scene, Chrysler
introduced its first car, the 70, in 1923. Unlike many other auto
maker start-ups, Chrysler made a big entrance, with $400 million capital
and seven factories. It was these resources that allowed the company
to compete with Ford and Chevy. In three short years, Chrysler was
able to introduce three additional models.
Chrysler was also known as an innovative company, and in 1932 introduced both power brakes and the automatic clutch. While Chrysler took some time off during the war years to manufacture tanks and aircraft fuselages, it started making cars again in 1946. Today Chrysler makes a range of models depending upon the driver's needs, from the budget Neon to the Voyager minivan to the uniquely styled PT Cruiser. Chryslers come in all styles, including sedans, coupes, and convertibles. Learn more about Chrysler vehicles, including prices, specifications, and photos, using the website resources listed below.
