Isuzu Motors is a Japanese car manufacturing company. While it
signed several licensing deals during the early and mid-1900s, it wasn't
until 1961 that it introduced its own in-house design, the four-door
Bellel. But by the late 1960s and early 1970s Isuzu was floundering,
and it sought partnerships with other car makers in order to stay afloat.
It was General Motors who bought a 34 percent stake in the company and helped turn things around for Isuzu. Isuzu began to build versions of the smaller GM cars. These cars were cheap to produce, up to date, and affordable for most consumers. The first car built under this partnership model was the 1974 Gemini. Perhaps Isuzu became best-known for its four-wheel drive vehicles, specifically the Rodeo, Trooper, Ascender, and Axiom. Today Isuzu is a popular choice for both families and individuals looking for quality off-road vehicles. You can learn more about Isuzu vehicles using the following resources.
